On your Loading & End Screens, you can customize interactive elements exactly the same way you do with nodes by double-clicking the screen to open the editor. The only difference is that these screens do not hold video, only images.
Background Image – You can assign background images for the loading and end screens by dragging an image from the Library to these nodes. The images will be automatically expanded or shrunk to fit the 1280 x 720 screen size.
You can replace the image by dragging and dropping a new image on top of the node. To remove the image, exit the Screen Editor and select Screen Asset > ‘Default’ in the drop-down menu.
Loading Screen
The Loading Screen will appear before a video plays, and its image will be used as the project’s thumbnail. This screen can provide information about the upcoming video, simple instructions for how to interact, a call-to-action or a background image. If you do create a Loading Screen make sure to have a play button that prompts the Eko video to begin.
The primary components of the Loading Screen include:
- Background Image — usually a subdued design and some text. Use a picture sized 1280X720 so it will fit the screen. It’s best to keep text to a minimum, but this is a good place to explain how you want users to interact with the video. This image will also function as the project’s thumbnail in social sharing.
- Play Button — a button for users to start the experience, if not on auto-play.
End Screen
The End Screen appears at the end of the video experience. Aside from the background image (1280×720) and/or graphic, we have set up the End Screen to offer viewers all or any combination of the following actions:
- Replay – watch the video again and make different selections
- Post on Facebook
- Copy direct link
